Many choose their journey to be experienced through music. The vocal experience is often the one most avoided.  Why? Because you are the instrument through which the sound vibrates. It is a journey that we all must at some point take, to find our own unique voice. Everyone has a voice, if you can talk you can sing. Exploring your individual voice is one of the most freeing and spiritual experiences one can embark on. We are living in the Age of Communication, singing is an opportunity I encourage all to take advantage of. When we sing we communicate on a deep profound level. Yes, we have all heard that music is the universal language, perhaps it is more becoming the language of the universe. If you have ever been touched by truly beautiful sing and had those duck bumps on your arms, you know what I am talking about. Not everyone studies music to have a career. It is an integral part of our lives. I love teaching and I look forward to sharing your musical journey with you.

Finding Ones Voice can be the most powerful experience you may ever have. I have written my own workshop for the vocal student/performer. It is “Self Esteem for the Performing Artist.” I have taught it in the USA and also in Europe. So much is explored for the singer to carry through with them throughout Life, I have had students who are learning to be public speakers and lawyers. Many have found their self-confidence and self-esteem is directly related in how they present themselves.

I also have found that this journey of music enhances every aspect of our lives: our health, appearance, memory, posture, respiratory conditions, stamina, and an overall sense of wellbeing improves. I have had an extensive career in opera and musical theater as well as stage directing. I became a Registered Nurse and practiced for 26 years and a minister for over 30 years.  Several students with professional careers in music have called me their “Life Coach.”  I have taught Vocal Performance at a Community College and University level for 11 ½ years.

I find that music and vocal study opens up many people to their gifts and talents like no other form of education. I love creating a trusting relationship with my students to help mentor them on their path of expression.
